Elegantly simple design

Just got this product installed and really do like it. It is a heavily made, solid piece that will endure for a long time. Included is all necessary mounting hardware and simple directions. All that is required to mount this is a Phillip's head screwdriver. It comes with an Alan wrench that fits the key locking screw so there's no need to hunt a matching one. If you're like me you have a hardware drawer full of Alan keys and it would be an effort to grab a few in the right size range and test to see which fit, no need here. Two quick holes and you push the supplied plastic wall anchors in, 2 screws and you easily mount the unit by threading the Alan headed inset screw in. (this is the hardest part of the install, I've got some large hands and delicate work upside down is not my strong suit.) Once mounted it is very firmly attached and wont have any issues supporting the weight of a bar of soap or the occasional heavier object. The dish has a drainage hole so your soap wont sit in a puddle of water and get all soft.

I threw this butterfly piece on it as a little decoration accent, you're really only limited by your own imagination here, but the piece is elegantly designed and attractive on it's own. I really cannot find any fault with this little soap dish so it gets full marks here. Oh and I guess I should figure out why that outlet cover is coming away from the wall.

Soothing but not overpowering

I finally got a chance to really test this product out this morning.  My back was screaming as usual and the regular heat pad and Tens treatment were not helping and I decided to throw one of these great smelling bath bulbs into the hottest water I could stand. Once removed from the wrapper, the aroma really starts to reach you, the choice I tried first was the 'Dream On' It has a nice orange citrus scent with a hint of lime or something else, I'm no aromatic expert here. When the ball hits the water it fizzes up and dissolves filling the air with the rich scent. It was not overpowering or perfumy as I expected but mellow and soothing. I soaked for awhile letting the rich scent take my mind away from the pain. Dream On is a great name for this one as my mind drifted as if I was asleep dreaming. I relaxed immediately and the pain ebbed away slowly as the hot water soothed my back and the scent of oranges soothed my conscience.

I am not a regular user of essential oils and aromatherapy but I now see how we are affected by odors and soothed by the right blends. This is a high quality product and I plan on ordering more as soon as I try them all. You will not be disappointed, and both men and women can enjoy the benefits of this therapy. They have many scents to choose from and the scents all affect us in different ways from pain or stress relief, to detoxing our bodies of harmful
chemicals.

Smooth dieting with FLAVOR!!

Smoothie Diet

Kindle Book Title: Smoothie Diet (the smoothie’s recipe book for a health smoothie diet, including smoothie’s for weight loss and optimal health.
Author: Jarrod Becker
Cost: $12.54 Prime in paperback, free on Kindle to this reviewer.

What an amazing resource for your smoothie recipe needs! This book is packed with fantastic recipes for energy, weight loss, and treats for loved ones. I can’t wait to try them all. I made one this morning with fruit I had available, but I will be seeking out ingredients for the next few when I go shopping this week. The taste was incredible and the frozen banana smoothie at the start of the book is divine. I did not have pulp-free orange juice; I prefer super pulpy but it worked simply fine. We can’t seem to use up bananas before they start going bad, so we freeze them while ripe. Strawberries are also done this way and we keep a plentiful supply of quart sized yogurt on hand. A teaspoon of Mexican vanilla was added because I had plain yogurt this time opened, I thought not to open another container just yet as this was a newly opened one. I suppose you could thaw your ingredients, I had to add a little more orange juice to stop it from making ice cream, but it is a simple and tasty treat. I like to replace breakfast and dinner with healthy smoothies or alternatives, but desert is often one as well, something with a lot of chocolate, hence the need for me to diet, LOL.
This book is staying handy for sure on my tablet, I’m paying special attention to the liver detox and dieting ones as these are a area where I’ve found little in the way of tasty yet still healthy choices. A vase ingredient of mine has been a tasty juice we make ourselves from 10 lbs. carrots, 2 large bags of spinach and 6 large cucumbers. This makes a few gallons that we separate in ½ gallon jugs to freeze. I will have to see if this can be incorporated in the recipes or if a change is in order with my juicing. Finding healthy combo’s that don’t gag you is always an issue. So far this book is exceptional.

Save your VCR with these fine products

Save your VCR with these fine products

I’m going to combine these three products together in one review because I used them together to repair 3 VCR’s in our home. Yea we still use them mostly for old home movies which I’m in the process of converting to DVD. I needed the best quality for the computer transfer so I picked our best VCR and it wouldn’t play any tape that was viewable, squiggly lines and weird patterns. I went to Amazon and found 3 products I thought would do the job. First up is the VCR head cleaner. You must use the proper chemicals, substances like isopropyl alcohol leave a residue or destroy the delicate heads. The capstan and pinch roller is the culprit when VCR’s or tape decks eat tapes in my experience. (Refer to the diagram picture) I first used a new swab with the head cleaner (foam tipped cotton leaves fibers and can damage heads) to delicately clean the mechanical components of tape residue.  A new swab was used to scrub residue from the audio and erase headsThis is all the metal and nylon coated bearings in the tape path, I used the same swab on the capstan and pinch roller, these required vigorous scrubbing as there was a lot of residue. I used a new swab with the rubber treatment chemical, to coat the roller several times. Over a few minutes, the rubber looked brand new and wasn’t tacky but softened and free of contamination. A new swab in the head cleaner was used to delicately clean the head. There are 4 magnetic pickups on my model that are very delicate and need cleaning. The whole drum assembly must also be free of dust or tape residue, (black spots.)  Use a good light source to inspect and ensure that its clean and shiny all around. Don’t touch this area with your fingers of course. Everything completed I inserted a good quality tape and tested it, perfect picture and sound, success!! The few screws returned the cover and I started my project, now 10.48 hours of video done and still perfect, so we’ll keep an eye out.
Cleaning the delicate parts this way rather than a wet tape method is safer, does less harm to the delicate heads, and just does the job right immediately. I recommend these three products highly as they perform their jobs without issue. The swabs are solvent safe and useful on cleaning printers as well, my next project 3 inkjet and a laser printer.

Gluten Free Vegan Diet Cookbook

Gluten Free Vegan Diet Cookbook

Kindle Book Title: Gluten Free Vegan (gluten free recipes for an empowering vegan gluten free diet)
Author: Kris Franklin
Cost: $6.48 Prime in paperback, free on Kindle to this reviewer.

I have to say right out that I was curious mostly in this book about the substitutes for dairy products such as milk, cream, butter, eggs, and other common cooking ingredients to replace dairy and meat ingredients in all our favorite dishes. This book does not disappoint. It starts out clearly warning the reader of processes and base ingredients that may harm someone with gluten allergies or Celiac disease. Plants for example that process whole grain oats may also process barley or rye that would contaminate the equipment with trace amounts of these harmful contaminants. I was immediately tempted while leafing thru the pages by a chocolate chip cookie recipe. I immediately grabbed my tablet and dashed to the kitchen seeking ingredients. Twenty minutes later I was balling out my first batch, mushing them down on baking parchment eagerly waiting on the beep of the oven to reach temperature. It wasn’t long and I was pulling the first batch out and burning my fingers and tongue. Who doesn’t love fresh out of the oven cookies? The cookies were just like my favorite recipes, soft, chewy, loaded with Chocolate chips (I may have nudged the amount of this ingredient.) A few tweaks and this recipe will replace my favorite. I only contested the amount of chocolate and vanilla. Ingredients were all handy in our kitchen, I am not vegan or gluten conscious but I have family members that are and we commonly cook dishes for the Senior Center with healthy gluten and vegan recipes.
If your curious of Vegan or gluten free cooking, or just looking for a source of great recipes, this book will give you what you’re looking for. I gave this book four stars only because I would have liked to see some pictures next to the prepared recipes.
